CESA Executive Director Search Update
Hello CESA Members,
Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate this transition! The CESA Team has been working diligently and shifting responsibilities for the last couple of months to continue providing excellent services and benefits.
The CESA Board thanks Alex Morris for his years of service to CESA and for helping shepherd the industry through strong years of development and deployment. We wish Alex the best in his new role as General Manager of California Community Power.
The CESA Board’s Executive Director Search Committee has been working to replace this important leadership role and is excited to announce that the CESA Executive Director position has been posted and is now accepting applications through March 31, 2023.
The CESA Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and be CESA’s voice to advance our mission, principles, and goals. Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director is responsible for our strategic vision and planning; legislative, regulatory, and policy strategy; communications with policymakers, media, and members; administration, financial management, and compliance.
We welcome applications from experienced leaders with progressively senior roles in energy-related policy, business, non-profit management, education and advocacy, and/or consulting roles. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to foster long-term trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including with executive level, and ideally established relationships with key California policymakers.

The Search Committee will be conducting interviews with candidates in April and May and aims to have the appointment announced by June.
