SNC-Lavalin Clean Power

Mr. John Chahwan currently leads the Power Delivery engineering department within SNC-Lavalin Clean Power, providing expertise in Transmission and Distribution, while integrating new or disruptive Power System technologies such as Energy Storage, Grid Intelligence, Digital Substations, combined with Renewable Generation, as well as newer HVDC and FACTS technologies. Mr. Chahwan holds a very broad knowledge of transmission planning, IPP and load interconnections, network stability, and power quality. As technical lead, his integrated involvement in complete EPC and EPCM projects, from feasibility to commissioning, allows him to foresee and mitigate project risks, and to diligently guide stakeholders. He has overseen transient and dynamic studies as well as Factory Acceptance Testing for HVDC and SVC control systems, including RTDS testing, on various international projects. His leadership style prioritizes collaborative efforts, sustainable growth, and operational excellence, as part of a Client-centric culture
