Shannon Okuyama is a Vice President of Business Development and is responsible for originating and evaluating new development and acquisition opportunities for SWG. Prior to joining SWG, Shannon spent six years at GE Capital Energy Financial Services where she was most recently a Vice President in the Debt group where she structured and evaluated project finance debt in utility scale power. She has worked in a variety of roles including in power M&A and asset management. Shannon began her career in energy as a research scientist at GE Global Research in Schenectady, NY where she worked on advanced technology research including on advanced combined cycle gas turbines and fuel cells. Shannon has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University, a Master of Science from Georgia Tech, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a graduate of GE’s Edison Engineering Development Program.
