The California Energy Storage Alliance Association (“CESA”) has adopted this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to govern the collection, use, and storage of data.  CESA places a high priority on protecting your privacy.  This Policy was created in order to demonstrate CESA’s commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This Policy governs all forms of Personal data collected by CESA.  By accessing our website or providing your information to us, you accept and agree to the practices described in this Policy.

What Types of Data We Collect

We collect and store personal information about you when you visit this website including membership inquiries, completing registration forms, consenting to email notices, registering for events and webinars, cookies, and through the use of Google Analytics:

In addition, we may collect personal data through your use of the website(s) and Apps.  Personal data may also be requested in connection with membership registration, event activities, webinars, educational workshops, purchasing products or services, requesting additional information, signing up for newsletters, or submitting questions through this site.

We use your Personal data to provide you with personalized service; to send e-mail alerts to you, to answer your requests, to process your membership application, to process your meeting registration, and to market services that we believe would be of interest to you, etc.

Interaction with Children 
Websites under the control of CESA are not designed with the intent to attract the collection of information from individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from these individuals and we ask that children under the age of 13 not submit any personal information to us while viewing our websites.

CESA acknowledges that you have the right to access your personal data. In case you request us to remove data, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Upon request, we will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal data.  You can update or correct your personal data or remove it from our system by making a request to us at the contact information provided below.  Requests typically receive a response within thirty (30) days. If access cannot be provided within that time frame, we will provide the requesting party with an estimated date by which the information will be provided. If for some reason access is denied, we will provide an explanation of why access has been denied.

We are committed to taking reasonable efforts to secure the information that you choose to provide us, and we use a variety of security procedures to help protect against unauthorized access to or alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal data. We restrict access to personal data to our board members, employees, contractors and servicers who need to know the information to operate, develop, or improve our services.
