Annual CESA Member Meeting

The annual Members Meeting provides an opportunity for CESA members to review and inform CESA 2019 advocacy and policy priorities and hear from California utilities, POUs and CCAs on their energy storage procurement plans.

12:30 – 1:15 PM Workshop #1: Understanding and Leveraging the New Federal Opportunity Zone Tax Incentive

This training will provide a brief summary of the Opportunity Zone rules and explain how they can be leveraged to increase investor return on energy storage installations, both in a solar or wind plus model or as standalone storage, and in energy storage businesses. CESA members and energy storage industry companies should be aware of this strategy as they pursue customers and investors. Time will be allotted for Q&A.

1:15 – 2:15 PM Workshop #2: Evaluating the PG&E Bankruptcy and Impact on Contracts, Programs and Industry

This workshop will provide legal assessments of PG&E’s bankruptcy and to understand the implications to existing contracts, future procurements, programs, or other effects. The session also explore how energy storage industry members can seek opportunities in or out of California in light of PG&E’s situation.
