Friends of CESA are non-member partner organizations that support CESA's mission.

The China Energy Storage Alliance is China's first and only non-profit, member-based energy storage association. With the goal of promoting healthy growth in renewable energy through the use of competitive and reliable energy storage systems, the CNESA works with the Chinese government to drive policies and spread awareness of the benefits that energy storage can provide to the grid. We also encourage communication and facilitate business between the government and the private sector.

The Energy Storage Association is an international trade association established to foster development and commercialization of energy storage technologies. The membership includes utilities, equipment manufacturers, national laboratories, system designers and academia using the ESA as the leading technical forum to promote a better understanding of the benefits of energy storage in an electricity grid. The ESA is organized as a 501 (c) (6) trade association with Headquarters in Washington, D.C. For more information about the ESA please visit their web site.

India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) was launched in 2012 to assess the market potential of Energy Storage Technologies in India, through an active dialogue and subsequent analysis among the various stakeholders to make the Indian industry and power sector aware of the tremendous need for Energy Storage & Microgrids in the very near future. IESA anticipates India to become a 15-20GW market for advanced energy storage technologies by 2020.  See the IESA website for more information.
