Janice Lin, Executive Director

Janice is the Executive Director of CESA and the Managing Partner of Strategen Consulting. At CESA, Janice oversees all aspects of the organization's operations and strategic priorities. Prior to CESA and Strategen, Janice held several senior management positions with PowerLight Corporation, where she led initiatives in product and new market strategy, business development, regulatory affairs, strategic partnerships, investor relations, and customer finance. She co-founded CESA with Don Liddell in 2009.

Janice holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a BS from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences.

 

Don Liddell, General Counsel

Don is the General Counsel of CESA and a principal of Douglass & Liddell. Don provides legal and government affairs support for CESA's regulatory and legislative advocacy in all forums. In addition to CESA, he is in private practice as an attorney focused exclusively on energy law. Don was Assistant General Counsel of Sempra Energy, where he was dedicated to all aspects of its unregulated companies, including renewable power contracting and power plant development, wholesale and retail power marketing, and energy services. He co-founded CESA with Janice Lin in 2009.

Don received an LL.M from the London School of Economics, a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and a B.A. with honors from San Diego State University.

 

Dan Duett, Operations Manager

As Operations Manager at CESA, Dan oversees a wide range of functions including finance, marketing, member relations, event planning, and web maintenance. He also serves as Operations Manager for Strategen, where he is involved in all aspects of day-to-day business administration, marketing, executive support, and office management. In both organizations, he employs his operational and organizational skills to ensure a collaborative and highly productive work environment.

Prior to joining CESA and Strategen, Dan worked in the Oakland Unified School District, where he served in a number of roles related to student achievement, program administration, teacher recruitment, and event planning.
